Just peeked at the LR GFS. Summer keeps getting postponed/pushed back. I thought I saw the LSV getting into the 40's in early June. Some low 80's days mixed in but certainly no sustained heat through first week of June.

A humid 45 degrees out this AM. Feels pretty good. Frost on tap for anyone tonight? Temps between 35 and 42 in the LSV with DP not far away. Edit-9:15AM. Just as windy today as yesterday. Sustained mid teens and gusts 25-30 right now.

NWS even mentioned how this event is not the norm: Winds this strong from the east are ranked near the max with respect to anomalies for this date in late May. Typically this time of year may feature gusty and highly anomalous south or westerly winds, but it`s very rare to see winds this persistent and strong form the east.

Just heard we have a tree down in Wayne Heights that hit a house (just east of Waynesboro). I believe this is probably the strongest easterly wind I have seen since living here. Almost all of our strong winds have a westerly component to them...at least the last two years. Apparently Philly is getting rocked with mid 40 gusts now. Getting regular gusts here near 40 now. Crazy.

I am seeing some 40 MPH gusts now through the state though think we peaked low 30's here. I love how being on the side (albeit it the bottom of the side) of a mountain does add some interest to normally bland days. Saw a 38 near Lancaster a few minutes ago.

I just checked your rig and see the winds have announced their arrival in your hood. My closest Weather Observation down the street is showing sustained around 15 and gusts 25-30 right now.

I have come across this before but it obviously does not provide much LSV info at times. Shows lots of 20+ gusts through the state http://www.usairnet.com/weather/maps/current/pennsylvania/wind-gust/

Thanks. It has sustained at 11 which is probably close to correct as it is just the gusts that have been up there...but had it out of the west which was not correct.

At this risk of waking Canderson I found out about it when I heard a large sound and my trash can had been drug across the driveway. Is there a good wind speed map that you are aware of. Would be interesting to see where I am getting this from while you are somehow now when it is coming from the east/south-east.

We have not had as many clouds and/or showers near here as I thought we might. Its a summer day now. Humidity does not feel too bad though. Just noticed Capital City Airport is at 87.

88 now. Probably not going to make 90 but easily the warmest day in a long time.

In central PA this has not really affected many people so to most its more an inconvenience than a pandemic. I suspect this fall will either be one of two things...validation for the "Muh Freedoms" group or one of the worst periods in our nations history.

One thing I am not sure everyone has noticed is that barbers and hair stylists STILL cannot open! Lebanon is going against the Governor and trying to make their own rules and said they are in yellow immediately. 81 degrees here with 65% humidity.

You can cheer and revel in Dauphin county getting put into the yellow next weekend if Wolf goes that direction.
