3K and HRRR with a skinny but potent line of storms for almost everyone this evening. -
HRRR was not perfect but did fairly well looking at this post mortem qpf map. For a bit it looked like it would be undone out here but then poof...most of the rain gone. Did see some reports of 4-5 inches south of Johnstown.

Looks like you got a grass waterin'. We got about 1/4". Sweet rain. Puts us over 3" for May, June and July combined.

Yep, if I get it (and you hopefully) it will be a bad moment for the recently hot HRRR but give me the water over model verification. Edit-Looks like Chambersburg is getting the Perfect storm scenario vs. over here.

Radar looks like it is converging on us. HRRR says no though.

Maybe some radar hallucinations but that line is moving much more south all of a sudden.

HRRR suggests any substantial rain we get will come from the south anyway. Any rain is good rain I guess.

That line is training and raking the Johnstown area. They may end up with 5-6" in some spots.

The first round all dissipated down this way. Maybe something in the later rounds. Historic Maytown getting close to triple digits but may fall short again.

Here comes the rain for the luckies whoever that ends up being. Looms good for MDT long range but that can change quickly.

Welcome to the club. Much of my grass is not hibernating...it has burnt up and is now dead. Two kinds of brown. Hibernate brown and dead brown. Oh well, could be worse. Just grass.

I love Codorus SP but growing up in York that word meant "River of stink" so its hard to go there and not think of that.

Just saw that the plant is no longer owed by Glatfelter. Was not aware of that fact.

Wunderground map confirms the area around Spring Grove and Hanover has several triple digit readings. Ever want to smell something bad? Go to Spring Grove when it is downwind from the Paper factory. Believe it or not just 91 here.

CTP dropped the ball on that one not taking wife chat into account with their decisions to go with a heat advisory or not.

Bring the triple digits home. Its so windy here it does not feel that hot out if you stay out of the sun.

One of the poofs is a 1015 Surface Wave crossing the Northern Delmarva with almost zero surface reflection/results. .

EC also keeps the LSV dry despite several rain chances moving in from the West. More poofs.
