The forward motion of the Low stops and it is basically occluding. That allows the decaying CCB bands to spiral farther N and W than we’d normally see. Euro, rgem and icon have it and GEM did last night and at 6z.
I think that 6z NAM run may have gotten folks a bit to excited. But honestly the Euro at 6z showed the same spiraling wraparound bands. Won’t take much for either the WAA snows to creep North and those bands to make there way farther West. It wasn’t over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor was it?
We knew the 6z was a blip run. No other model looked like it.
I still think snows get back here on the wraparound. The WAA snows always seemed tough to pull off.
