Agree completely right here. Nearly every single Meso model looks the same over “roughly” the same area. The “virga” up here wasn’t even modeled at all. That band is coming for us.
Snowing again in Skaneateles. Definitely ahead of schedule and the NYC crews are calling bust on the monster amounts. Reminds me of March 2017 (and I was in NJ).
Do you think this has any bearing on the future? Fully Saturated atmosphere and a northern surprise already?
Or perhaps the Low becomes its own animal to watch develop...?
I’m nothing but positive boys! When it looks like shit I’m likely to be more quiet!
Anyway - great to be able to post with enthusiasts in ‘relatively” the same backyard!
Yep. You could see early that the Low position was better.
Interestingly the GFS quietly came back NW at 18z. To see a Meso model follow it is a great start tonight. The HRRRRRRRRR looked good too but it’s a shit model IMO even in its short range.
Exactly. That lake enhanced snow is underdone and you have to remember the lakes are warmer than normal. Living here 4 years now I find the Canadian models see this better than the other globals - and earlier.
