  1. We got way more than that here in Skaneateles and it’s still snowing.
  2. ICON is a hit for this weekend. It was not bad with this last storm.
  3. I can’t believe how hard it’s STILL snowing. Have to figure out how to upload pics. It’s saying I can only to 1.95MB but I deleted any large files I’ve posted. Any help? no idea how to measure. It’s the most outrageous over-performer I’ve ever experienced but I’m new to Lake Effect Country.
  4. I can’t measure anymore. Most snow I have ever seen in 3 hours. Jeb walked with a beer the whole time!!!
  5. Bonkers here. Easily 8” since 8PM and ripping.
  6. Insane here. Just awesome. Will lap double digits from 7PM forward. And it needs to be said - the HRRRR is an absolute pile of shit.
  7. I just mean rates at the moment. Not the storm!
  8. 4 years here and this is top 3 most impressive snows I’ve seen. For some reason I can’t upload pics!
  9. House in the village and we have a camp on Skaneateles lake. Had the camp first when in NJ loved it so much we moved here full time.
  10. I feel for you Matt and I’m hoping you get yours ASAP buddy!!
  11. Heaviest snow of the day here in skaneateles! Let’s go!
  12. Thanks king. This is exactly what happened that one time in NW NJ. It was a backside band that looked epic to add to our totals and there was not a single flake!!! I was posting on a forum down there and the Mets simply could not believe the returns weren’t heavy snow.
  13. Perhaps a met can explain but I’ve had the same thing happen once when I lived in NW NJ and again at times today. Wondering if it has to do with tremendous lift/dry levels causing the radar to be so disconnected from the surface reflection. I’ve seen it takes a bit for the actual returns you’re seeing to produce - multiple times when the dark greens were already past!
  14. I’ve seen local folks changing their forecast - multiple ones hours ago. Rut roh...
  15. We learn so much from you. I mean I’m the one that got known on the forums for writing a parody on phases of chasing an east coast storm because I’m a weenie and have watched a zillion model runs in my 41 years of life. I did a forecast for all of the Northeast (I’ve lived a lot of places so know a lot of local Climatology) and it’s worked out well this time but I’ll get smoked the next time. Nature of the game. I thought about pulling back but what prevented me from it was ALL of the mesos were showing it. I just couldn’t get past our physics and algorithms being that wrong this close. It’s not over but insanely cool storm to track and learn from. And I’m a transplant of 4 years - so this forums local knowledge has been amazing for me. Thanks and thanks for welcoming me.
  16. For what it’s worth, mad respect for your input here always and super cool display of humility.
  17. Happy for you Matt! Pouring snow here and radar is exploding!!!
  18. Huge amount of moisture coming SW towards us all. Let’s GOOOO!!
  19. The NWS Binghamton has changed our WSW FOUR times for amounts since this AM. They just upped them again. We’re all being hoodwinked by Ma Nature!
  20. “Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!?!?”
