That’s kind of you man and I’m really sorry for what you’re going through as well - you know I can relate. Like you, weather is an outlet for me - a way to escape. And after I snapped a bit last night y’all could have been like “F this guy.” Instead I get a level-headed cool response from @TugHillMatt and then warm wishes from so many. It’s definitely teaching me to always try and give folks the benefit of the doubt when they may not act exactly how you expect or want them to - or maybe they snap a bit at you. You never know what they may be going through at that time. Since I moved up here I searched long and hard for a forum that was meaningful for my backyard - and this place has delivered in spades. When my family prays tonight I’ll be sure to add you and your Mom to the list. Thank you for your kindness.

Current radar looks a bit fresher than some of the modeling. Perhaps a couple inches possible for some.

I think the speed saves many of us near that line. Most of the qpf falls in a 4-5 hour period and it looks to be snow. So what was once 12” may now be 8” but it’s not like a ton of qpf is wasted on taint. Just the snizzly part. Plus we still have another on its heels to track and LES!

Yeah man. A few. But my Mom has been in the ICU for 10 days after heart failure for reasons they’ve yet to figure out - so my snappiness comes from a place deeper than a few cold ones. If saying a prayer is your thing, we could use it! These back to back storms have been a welcome mental distraction for me.

I think the heavy rates will deliver overnight and the pingers or snizzle will only happen once it’s close to done toward early morning tomorrow. You’re in a better spot as every mile NW matters on this one.

We are at just about 900’ of elevation (highest of the Finger Lakes) so that does help. That said, pingers may be unavoidable for a short time. But yeah, we got like 23” in that insane death band so I am all for spreading the wealth. My concern is that this moves so fast we don’t see many flakes on Tuesday though the lake may fire up and catch us overnight Tuesday into Wednesday for a cake topper. Including that I think 10” is doable. Def happy to see ROC cash in a bit more this time!

Dude this place just puts up with your incessant whining over every single model run. There’s a reason people put white dots over your house when making snow maps - because you never, ever stop whining about what YOU’RE going to get. There’s not a lot of posters here so it makes it even more obvious. Would love to post more and be a part of this group and community but it seems to be kind of “locked in” with long timers and particular senses of humor and inside jokes where others get a laugh when they point it out - others not so much. I can watch from the sidelines or just take it elsewhere. Plenty of other places to post and drink the “Kool Aid.”

Forget amounts. I think the worst trend of this storm is the speed. It’s basically out of here by early morning Tuesday. The best snowstorm is a day snowstorm. Now I have to stay up late on Monday, Jeb walk and rate driveways on the new scale which will only make my Tuesday harder on me.
