  1. Long range GFS/GFSv16 went from cutter city to miller B city. Hope that holds.
  2. Maybe not seeing it correctly but the GFS would suggest some meso-low potential skirting the south coast to keep low levels colder.
  3. Temps responding quickly here. Up to 48F now. NAM seemed to cut back on precip in eastern areas, which is fine by me. Now showing a little more than an inch by Saturday morning.
  4. Goose down falling out there. Looks like an inch already.
  5. GFS looks a little better for getting that crap out of here early on Christmas...maybe even some flakes in the air at the end if we're lucky.
  6. If we have to deal with the grinch, just hoping that front doesn't stall so we limit rain and basement flooding. The GFS looked like it had most of the precip overnight and into the morning, done by the afternoon, which might not be too bad.
  7. But that's what they're using to run the site.
  8. Hard to measure with the fluff factor but final is 11" in PSM. Hard to believe some places got more snow in this storm than I got all of 2019-20.
  9. Trying to pick up a bit again. Mesos hinting at some wrap-around later on. That band up by dendrite looks like a solid wall of snow on radar.
  10. 18/14 Looks like around 8 inches but will measure later this morning. In the pork pipe for a while it seems.
  11. 23/0, overcast. Should be a fun night to start holiday break from work. Probably get up a few times overnight to peek outside.
  12. Clouds building. 19F off a low of 13F this morning. Should be some powder tonight.
  13. Early December last year was decent...17" or so in that one event with about 27" for the month. Then it went downhill. The past two years have been under-performing but most winters are decent with good latitude for SWFEs and great coastal blizzards. Being close to the water can hurt sometimes but not always. Where in Hampton are you? I grew up in N. Hampton.
  14. Even 3" here would be the biggest storm of the season thus far.
  15. Looks cold enough to retain some of my meager pack this weekend despite the rain and wait for some chances next week. Better than what had been advertised a few days ago.
  16. Under performed here. 2" measured this morning. Snow was nice to look at last night and very wintery feel today with some blowing snow. Went for a walk around the neighborhood and noticed the crackling sound in the trees when the wind blew enough to fracture the ice clinging to the branches. My old place in Nottingham must have done fairly well.
  17. Snow has been more consistent, light to occasionally moderate. About 2". 33/32
  18. Sucker hole planted itself right over my house for the last hour. Will need to make up for it fast to even get to low end 4" amounts but we'll see. 35/33
  19. 33/32. Ground coated. Probably close to what we got in the October event.
