1.81 today, 2.66 August MTD. I can't remember a year when the yard has green throughout the heart of summer. We usually have some patches of brown here and there if not mostly brown but not this year.
I have a wind fetish as well. Even marginal TS gusts for 24 hours would be somewhat interesting and certainly make for some good wave watching. We'll see.
I'm curious what you think of the notion that flow will actually start to slow down with CC (less variance in temps between the pole and equator). Are these two completely separate domains or would they come in conflict at some point?
I have not but sounds like a nice place to check out some time. Fishing here is hit and miss. Got a white perch yesterday but it’s been slow. Turned into a nice eve .
My 81 year old parents still only use fans. They decline me every time I offer to install the window units. Tolerable 82/71 here at the lake. Might get clipped by the first line moving through Maine and hope for a better show later.
Past few days in Lincoln Lakes region of Maine have been delightful. Just a few showers the other night but mostly Stein and light breezes with temps in the 70s-low 80s. Heading back south tomorrow for a brief time and then back here for some more time. Hoping the bayou swamp weather is brief.
Headed to lake house today for a week or two depending on weather. Looks pretty good to start anyway and hoping the rain days are relatively few. I do like a good storm up there, especially at night.
10.18" of rain so far this month. It would be neat to say we got a foot of rain in July but Thursday would have to come through in a big way for that to happen.
Saw an albino porcupine earlier this evening walking along the road. Looked liked a giant, walking cotton ball. Wish I had stopped to take a pic but there were already a couple of cars pulled over with people trying to usher it back into the woods.
