Central Park is closing in on 7 inches with alot more rain to go. Parts of Brooklyn NY have over 8 inches.
Yikes, my niece is on Powers Street. Is transportation still running down there?

Damn, downpours keep rebuilding to the SE. Don't need this...just finished vacuuming up water in the basement from earlier rains. 67/66 and up to .5 now.
-
67/66 in breezy conditions. Glad I boarded up. Some squalls about to move in but then that looks like it for precip until some time tomorrow.

Thick fog rolling in here, 70/68

Saw an Eversource truck heading off in the direction of I95 from my house so figure they were going south. Good luck with the storm CT/RI.

Feels like my time in APF right now with the deep tropical blues, tall towers, and occasional downpours.
I could see that line of cumulus to the northwest...very dynamic skies. Cells moving from SE to NW as if that's the outer band.

1.81 today, 2.66 August MTD. I can't remember a year when the yard has green throughout the heart of summer. We usually have some patches of brown here and there if not mostly brown but not this year.

NAM/GFS compromise?

I have a wind fetish as well. Even marginal TS gusts for 24 hours would be somewhat interesting and certainly make for some good wave watching. We'll see.

I'm curious what you think of the notion that flow will actually start to slow down with CC (less variance in temps between the pole and equator). Are these two completely separate domains or would they come in conflict at some point?

We'll be watching another WBZ "Remembering Bob" special next summer most likely

Nice.
Ever been to the larger Duck Lake maybe 20 road miles to the south? Never fished it but I've been told the big ones hold to the south central shore where the big hemlocks come to water's edge. Couple of awesome water access campsites on the west shore, too.
I have not but sounds like a nice place to check out some time. Fishing here is hit and miss. Got a white perch yesterday but it’s been slow. Turned into a nice eve

Showers approaching Duck Lake (LakevilleME). Storms look to fail but at least it’ll be comfortable tonight.

My 81 year old parents still only use fans. They decline me every time I offer to install the window units. Tolerable 82/71 here at the lake. Might get clipped by the first line moving through Maine and hope for a better show later.
-
85/77 at 9am. Terrible. I don't get the enjoyment unless you're in the ocean/lake. Heading back to Lakeville ME today to cool off.

Past few days in Lincoln Lakes region of Maine have been delightful. Just a few showers the other night but mostly Stein and light breezes with temps in the 70s-low 80s. Heading back south tomorrow for a brief time and then back here for some more time. Hoping the bayou swamp weather is brief.

Beautiful evening by the lake after a mostly cloudy day

Headed to lake house today for a week or two depending on weather. Looks pretty good to start anyway and hoping the rain days are relatively few. I do like a good storm up there, especially at night.

12.48 for July. That's way more snow than I received in January.
-
Only .5 here but getting into that heavier stuff now. Should eclipse 12" for July.
-
Getting a little gnarly out there now. Looks like the pope is getting it good up in Dover.
-
10.18" of rain so far this month. It would be neat to say we got a foot of rain in July but Thursday would have to come through in a big way for that to happen.
August Disco 2021. Do record dews continue?

Outdoor concert this evening in town...should be perfect. Good riddance to the 90/75 crap.
