  1. Record for Philly for Oct 2/Wed is 87F...going to get smashed by 4-5+ degrees.
  2. Besides the heat itself what annoys me is our weather personalities rubbing it in. Saying things like, "and it's going to warm back up again"..."Summer keeps hanging on"...."Fall will be put on hold a bit longer". And they say it w/a happy tone to their voice....uggghh. Probably best to tune out TV weather for a couple more weeks till Fall truly kicks in... 51F
  3. You ain't kidding. May not see a post in this thread for days on end. No extreme heat/cold and limited precip chances. Fall foliage (if any) may be the only thing to talk about...
  4. Same here, thought it was a little early? We have a couple cool nights coming up so lets continue the Fall foliage!
  5. 6:20am, 54F. Super nice-fallish outside w/the sun just starting to rise. Nice day for the Eagles opener. Heat comes back a bit for Wed-Thurs w/highs in the mid-upper 80s and humid. Really wish we would just enter Fall and stay there for good...
  6. A tad of a heat spell (mid-upper 80s/humid) mid next week?
  7. ....then snow Nov 15th. I'll still take an early snow this year and risk my chances on a good winter.
  8. At least we were entertained with T-Storms opportunities quite often. Otherwise, complete hell.
  9. That guy was an idiot! Everything is pointing at a top ten weekend and well deserved.
  10. Fri - Sun look downright super nice (lows in the 50's?) once we get through this early-midweek hot-muggy mess.
  11. Yep Yep, jinxed myself. At least we know the end is near....Ralph sightings after hibernation is a good sign.
  12. Over/Under: 3.5 as far as 90 degree days left. I'm going under. Really doesn't matter because we'll probably have a bunch of mid-upper 80s days w/high DPs which sucks pretty bad as well...
  13. Little early to say but we may not hit 90 again this summer (local burbs)...
  14. Chris Sowers was a bit excited about this potential during this morning's broadcast. Overall, it's been a solid year as far as severe weather is concerned.
  15. Yep, it's completely different than the muggy stuff around here. I have a friend who works construction in Phoenix and says the 100+ temps don't bother him a bit. Currently 59F at 5am and feels great outside.
  16. Yep, keep it going. Starting the Fall weather/season earlier would be even better. I could do without another massive heat/high DPs outbreak...
  17. I don't think this year has been that bad. (heat humidity) Plus, we had some nice rounds of rain/storms. Birds training camp to start shortly, August is approaching, shorter days and critters have started to crank their tunes. Before you know it the winter predictions will begin to pop up. For now, no 95+ temps (no week+ long heat waves) and our fair share of T- Storm chances...not too shabby.
  18. I've been getting shafted w/these storms recently. They seem to miss me one way or another. Not completely but haven't been in the good stuff.
  19. Hey there. Don't be such a stranger/lurker....join in. My old man just had his 86th birthday last Thursday. I always like seeing him doing something. If he's just staring at the TV or isolating I get worried. Agree about the Cicada and katydids....I haven't heard anything yet. Their sound just screams summer.
  20. Looks nice, that would be cool. We need some excitement from this day after day normal/boring summer heat. It hasn't been horrible heat but just boring weather in general...
  21. That's why I have fun in this thread (and mock)! There are additional radars....we'll get by and shiet happens.
  22. ^Lol....Blue sky on a rampage. MGorse and I currently climbing towers. Should be fixed soon. I have a 6pt socket rather than a 12pt and additional hardware which should do the trick. Current temp 47F/rain....pretty sure rain tomorrow as well.
  23. Where exactly does the NWS get money for this? I'm a tad clueless in this area but this/these problems happen quite a bit. Perhaps "get er done" correctly the first time so reoccurring events don't happen?
  24. Was he "a drinker?" Every household usually has a drunken uncle.....
