No, it ain't snow. But this was supposed to be our relax period. We were supposed to $hitt the blinds and rain until 2/20 or so. I'll take a period of ice as a small win.
Yeah, I guess I'll wait for the sound of pings on the window early morning. Birds are on my mind, this is secondary and a plus....

Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems the starting time for this mess is between 4-6am where previously it was 1-4am. I think the later start time would be even more concerning more traffic on the roads etc.
They will brine the roads today, it'll be fine. It will go above freezing tomorrow and everything will be normal. For snow fans this sucks.

I'm into a half bottle of wine not sure whats up lol
You may need additional nap time for overnight starting events....start the wine around 3-4pm, dinner, then a few hours snooze and you'll be good to go for any overnight activity, I'm sure of it...

I still think we get wacked with one MECS before the fat lady sings. I’m not much of a March snow type, early March maybe but after mid month bring on Spring. It would be nice for these next couple weeks to rock.
If whacked means 6+", I'm not seeing it....even 4 inches seems a stretch. Kind of want to get slammed by a sleet or freezing rain event. The snow thing just isn't working around these parts....

41F at 5:05 a.m., feels like spring out there compared to 20s, teens and single digits...calm, no wind either, dead quiet.

Things are starting to look more solid wrt frozen precip overnight Wednesday into Thursday AM rush before hopefully flipping to rain then moving out. Discussion here.
I expect a little fun overnight but why are we hopefully hoping it switches tlo rain? Hell, give me all the frozen precip while we can... before you know it we will be sweating our balls off.

I hate to play devils advocate, but I feel we’ve been down this road before. Don’t get me wrong I hope we cash in on every threat I think caution should be taken to avoid the masses running for the bridges. With all that said, don’t stop posting those clown maps
Totally agree. I find it funny long time members still buy into this shit. Been burnt so many times. Give me a Superbowl and I care less about all this stuff...

30F with steady light snow. Already a overachiever in my book with a little more to the West. Really didn't expect much of anything...

January 2025 is the coldest January since 2014 at PHL. It is also the coldest month since February 2015.
Sad part, not much snow to show for it. Now that we need it, it isn't here...

Rain just started and it's pretty steady. Being 38 f, there was no chance of anything frozen at the onset....

I don't see it being rough at all maybe just maybe backroads little dicey that's about it. Local burbs with the low around 29 or 30 plus they will brine today, should be mainly wet. The city should be no problem. Freezing rain sucks when it's in a low to mid-20s but near 30 it's mainly wet on the roads. Trees and branches are different story.
