  1. Ah. Makes sense. I have to be careful. Confusion at my age can get my ass in the home.
  2. The table didn’t format so click the link and scroll down. Thanks for giving me a dementia scare!! Lol https://www.weather.gov/media/rah/climate/LatestMonthlyClimate.pdf The lack of rainfall events and the sporadic nature of showers and thunderstorms when they occurred led to widely variable rainfall totals for the month. As shown in Table 2, even though Raleigh was very wet with 7.53 inches for the month (most of that falling from the October 9 event), monthly totals were 2.80 inches at Greensboro (0.30 inches below normal) and only 1.21 inches at Fayetteville (2.02 inches below normal). 3. Hmm. Could be old age but I distinctly remember getting a pop up from a weather program about it. I believe it referenced storms around 10/9 and commented on the large difference.
  4. Kind of strange that Raleigh has had over 7” this month and I’ve has 0.39” and yet we are both labeled D0.
  5. But the Southeast ridge cometh and this winter will tend to stay.
  6. Only 0.19” here. Monthly total is only 0.35”. Driest month in a long time,
  7. I just do one last regular mow with a mulching attachment and presto they are gone. So simple.
  8. .16” here. No wonder the leaves are so nice and crunchy when I walk around my yard..
  9. 26.8º at the house. The growing season is finally over. One more mowing after all the leaves are down and that’s it.
  10. Best color we have had in several years.
  11. Every year I feel stronger that the money spent on this model could be better spent elsewhere. Maybe crystals and a small pyramid.
  12. Clouds cleared just before daybreak here allowing the temp to fall below freezing for the first time this year. Barely below but I’m counting it. 31.3º
  13. It is still there but I believe only an admin can do what you need done. I know I can’t. Try to pm Wow or Stormtracker.
  14. Congratulations. I see you married up. So did I, it’s great!
  15. I don’t worry about that these days. I have a fall/spring setting on my thermostat where I set both heat and air to whatever temp I want and the system switches back and forth as needed. 75/71 currently.
  16. We have a La Niña which tends to give us a warmer and drier winter than normal.
  17. We will be redefining the frequency of these events in the coming years. It’s not your daddy’s climate any more.
  18. I picked up 1.65” yesterday and 2.03” today.
  19. I guess he doesn’t know about the rule. No rescues until at least 24 hours after a wind speed reading of 200 or above. The air has to heal.
  20. I died but I didn’t retire.
  21. Finally!! Some actual authentic banter about Ida.
  22. I’ll let this post remain but it is the last one. This is a storm banter thread. This post has nothing to do with the storm and everything to do with politics. I would hate to have to suspend anyone during this event. For the record, any suspensions I do have to issue will end when Ida is declared a remnant low.
