    Not sure what it says about anything, but counting this upcoming event, 2 of the 3 most widespread accumulating snow events in our area in a strong Nino are nearly all northern stream lows and the 3rd had significant northern stream influence.

    I’m still rooting for our HECS, but I’m excited to get the mulch beds growing. I probably need to order like 7-8 yards this year…

    This is all on track. Keeps drying out until the tomorrow 18z runs. Then we make our epic last 30 hour juice up to warning level.

    And you have to start burning furniture for warmth. You have to eat the hamster because you run out of food and can’t get to the stores, which are also out of food. You begin training your daughter in snowshoe making.

    We’ve had 1 minor and (potentially) 2 major SSWs and they’ve all been weird with bottom-up and top-down connections. I said before this winter that I think people will write papers about this winter and I’m fully confident of that now.

    Whatever happens for the rest of this winter, we're going to consolidate the post mortem and its future implications in a single thread. I'd actually prefer if someone starts that now and starts putting the conversation there.

    Yeah there’s a ceiling here given the setup, but again, so was the comparison I mentioned.

    Said this the other day but this reminds me of the Friday storm in our January week of winter. Similar setup with a northern stream low (hopefully) passing to our south. That also looked like a dusting-2” at this range. We’ve had positive short term trends in all 4 accumulating snow events we’ve had this winter (4 in our backyards). Maybe we can make it 5.
