Everything posted by WxUSAF

  1. 61 and very breezy. Feels like October.
  2. Thunder and dark clouds
  3. This area seems to be looking better. About to pass over me headed for Bmore
  4. Deluge at the moment. Very little wind IMBY
  5. Flash flood warning for southern HoCo now
  6. Yeah rotation looks fairly broad on radar
  7. Mrs WxUSAF is in downtown Columbia and I told her to move to interior areas of the building
  8. Still 5-8 miles or so. Southwest. Just heavy rain and thunder here. No wind to speak of. >4”/hr rainfall rates
  9. TOR warning on our phones again and again on the tippy tip of the box. Don’t want to teach anyone to ignore these but it’s not nearby MBY…
  10. Phone alarmed for the TOR warning but seems like the hook will pass well south of MBY
  11. WPC flash flooding meso out for metro areas and points north
  12. Radar seems ahead of schedule relative to meso models
  13. Someone posted it on a different site that I saw
  14. Baltimore County dismissing early because of the flood watch!?
  15. Flood Watch up for metro areas down to CHO for tomorrow
  16. 12z 3k NAM isn’t quite as much of an outlier as 6z, but still much farther south than hrrr or FV3 12z runs
  17. I’m on the EYO board and we’ve had this discussion/argument with Rec and Parks for ages. I think we’re finally close to getting approval to let coaches work on fields to get them playable. They’ve refused up until now and they don’t work particularly hard to get them playable.
  18. 6z 3k NAM is massively different than 0z. Near total swing and a miss for tomorrow and Saturday. Hopefully just some bad chili from initialization.
  19. @Paleocene nice find! I’m a fairly avid birder. Usually go out around my neighborhood each weekend at least.
  20. Nah, knocked back but not dead yet. Give me 6-8” of rain in June and I’ll be this guy
  21. Been pretty uneventful for years it seems?
  22. GFS not quite that wet, but 1.5”+ area wide.
