    WPO/EPO combo will help ensure that there is some real cold available and not weak-sauce modified crap like we’ve had in recent years. Two big things though to watch: 1. Does all the cold air dump in the west and keep the SE ridge flexed? 2. If the cold air does come east, is it just 2-4 days of dry cold that quickly lifts out when a powerhouse 1014mb low approaches?

    I would have at least like to see Henry on the field there. Gives defense more to think about. Despite all the offensive failures, they win the game if Tucker doesn’t miss. Very rare he’s ever cost them a win. I’ve seen people speculating that Stout is a bad holder, but I have no way to evaluate that.

    EPS looks pretty good for this period as well. Better over the pole, less intense eastern trough and 50/50 area though.

    Just finished final mow of the year and mulched leaves. At least until we get 10 days of U60s/L70s next month and it grows again.

    PNA underperforms, trough moves into the west coast. Wave cuts west, antecedent airmass was barely climo anyway. T-0.2” rain area wide. Rinse, repeat until April.

    Sort of. Big low late next week looks locked in, although details and timing still uncertain. However it doesn't look like it will incorporate a strong feed of true polar air anymore. So seems like we moderate for a few days probably around Thanksgiving itself. But ensembles and op runs too are suggesting another push of cold air late in the holiday weekend perhaps. That's 2 weeks away though so take with salt.

    Blech. Don’t like 12z runs for next week. They don’t phase in any cold air so it’s just a cutoff slop. 12z GEFS looks better though so far.
