Holy sh-t. Just had some of the strongest wind gusts I’ve experienced since we moved 4.5 years ago. Had to be above 50mph, maybe pushing 60-70. Just intense roar. Moved the basketball hoop that’s weighed down with a couple hundred pounds of sand. Completely came out of nowhere.

At least these hard freezes are keeping most of the trees and flowers in check. This weekend will give them all a harsh reminder that it’s not really spring yet.

Many robins are year round residents in the area and don’t migrate.

Eh...in isolation that’s probably fair. But look at the frequency of sub 10” snowfall winters in Baltimore over the ~140 years of records. They were pretty rare up until the 80s with only a handful ever. WAY more common since. Of course we’ve also had lots of boom years in comparison. But things have certainly changed in the last 30-40 years.
