  2. Howard too. My daughter is running around the house My wife is...not
  3. Just measured 1” on the dot for my spotter report. Sleet falling now.
  4. Eyeballing about 1” with light snow still falling. Very pretty. Will go out to measure on the snowboard shortly.
  5. IAD 0z sounding had wet bulbs below freezing through the entire column except maybe right at surface. Low levels are dry. Virga fest to start. And yes, models account for that.
  6. 6 isn’t a cold phase, but 7 and 8 are
  7. 36/23 with clear skies and dews still dropping along with the temps.
  8. Indian Ocean dipole SST pattern for the IO
  9. Saw a report of 0.5” in 17mins near Cincy
  10. Always love overperforming warmth the day before snow
  11. Precip moved south again, but snow/ice looks basically unchanged.
  12. I’d be pretty happy with the 3k NAM. About 5 hours of light snow with temps near freezing for 0.5-2”. Would stick to all the trees well and be very pretty before getting washed away.
  13. Euro did inch southward, but it's a touch drier on the front-end. More in line with other guidance now. dusting-2" of snow before mix it looks like.
  14. @psuhoffman our thoughts are very similar. The Pac flood continues to get can kicked, muted, and washed out. Good trends for high latitude blocking so far. It’s just hard to overcome a meh Pac in the early season. Much more feasible in JF. I’m impatient as we all are, but I’m still objectively optimistic on the winter .
  15. I think any next ravens win, or losses this week by both KC and NE would do it. Ravens have an effective 2 game lead thanks to the tiebreaker.
  16. Everyone’s drinking when looking at them
  17. Position of the TPV in Canada has big implications. It moving west hurts in two ways. 50-50 isn’t as strong and therefore doesn’t hold cold air in, and it prevents ridging out west where we want it.
  18. Ensembles overnight did not move in a good direction for the pre-Xmas storm. Rather than phasing most of the PV into the 50-50 for Monday’s storm, they want back to leaving most of it up over far NW Canada. This keeps the flow more progressive over the conus. Euro and Eps want nothing to do with it.
