I’m on the EYO board and we’ve had this discussion/argument with Rec and Parks for ages. I think we’re finally close to getting approval to let coaches work on fields to get them playable. They’ve refused up until now and they don’t work particularly hard to get them playable.
My wag from a couple weeks ago was that we needed about 200% of normal rain for May and June to prevent a dust bowl summer. Seems well on the way to do that for May at least.
My son has allergies but yesterday was particularly bad and he woke up at 4am coughing and wheezing a little. I don’t have much but even I was sneezing a bunch yesterday. @Ian commented on it on Bluesky even. Anyone know what the allergen may be??

I lost this good-sized limb and neighbor had a tree down, but that was the most damage we saw in a short walk around the neighborhood.
