  1. Fringed north and south by 1-2 miles within 2 hours. Impressive.
  2. That line is going to just miss me north it looks like. If only I had the luck of the Stephen’s city rainforest!
  3. Ugh jjjuuusssttt missed that little popup cell in southern HoCo. And that line approaching may not make it.
  4. Very meager totals for as many hours as it’s rained this weekend. 0.2”ish total.
  5. Booo Euro caved overnight but still has more than some other guidance. 3k NAM has been insistent that today is dry for most of MD. We’ll see. Would like to keep the drought busting momentum. Next week looks mostly dry again, although next weekend seems potentially starting a wet period.
  6. Forecast for tomorrow still pretty uncertain. Euro is a near washout with 2”+ and US models are like T-0.1” with scattered sprinkles
  7. Planning an outdoor dinner for my wife’s bday Sunday and I really can’t figure out how much of a storm risk there’ll be. Euro seems very insistent. Other guidance a lot more uncertain.
  8. WPC meso’d. Thinks storms probably get to 95 corridor. Heavy rain and flash flooding risk.
  9. About 60 degrees too warm for that stuff
  10. Pitchings been great. Bats still need to wake up.
  11. I think there is enough evidence that BWI’s temps have been off since the tarmac was expanded a few years ago not note that it’s more of a problem now than DCA
  12. Still some smoke but bluer sky than yesterday
  13. Ha, I was just coming to post something similar. Hazy, milky summer skies in the 20th century were definitely due to pollution. Maybe there was occasional wildfire smoke but I don’t remember it. We have drastically improved air quality in the last 30 years, but now we get these smoky skies annually it seems. I know the last 3 years have been the worse for Canadian wildfires in modern history. I think there’s debate on how much wildfires are “normal” and what pre-colonization levels were.
  14. 10/10 June day. Not ready for summer humidity.
  15. 45 for the low again.
  16. I’m guessing we’re cooked, but hope to be wrong
  17. Was just about to say that. Looks like smoke aloft this morning.
  18. Solar storm arrived earlier than expected. Aurora pics from central MD around 4am posted on Twitter by JB2 and others.
