Very sub-severe in Columbia. Brief heavy rain and some thunder. A few gusts that probably exceeded 20mph.

Radar is barely picking it up, but these rain showers are much more than sprinkles.

Of course as soon as I posted this it started raining for real.

It’s been deceptive. Mostly glorified sprinkles despite some greens and yellows on radar.

Para-GEFS and euro both much more progressive with that front that the GFS is stalling next week.

WxUSAF replied to Eskimo Joe's topic in Mid Atlantic
Ugh, found patches of Japanese stilt grass in my lawn. Ripped them out and going to reseed with grass seed, but got to keep a close eye on the rest of the lawn to make sure no more appears. I'm guessing it's because of how rainy it's been, stilt grass likes moisture and shadier spots. -

Ggem has never liked tomorrow for rain and still hates it. NAM and GFS are quite wet.

Was hoping today could be the last 90F day for the burbs at least, but looks like another day or two possible late next week ahead of another cold front. Sunday-Monday look gorgeous ahead of maybe some heavy rain Tuesday.

Like two rumbles of thunder and a quick downpour. Four days in a row of a rain shower with less than 0.1” of rain each.

12z NAM and latest hrrr both have a fairly coherent line moving south out of PA and through the metro area between 5-9pm.

Ggem takes remnants right over us Friday with 2” of rain or so. Gfs well north but we still get about 0.5”.

Tom Tasselmeyer keeps calling Laura "Isaias" on Twitter and it's making me twitchy.

This week could be interesting. Definitely some heat and humidity around. But Back door cold front around Wednesday and Thursday. Then hopefully a fall-like front rolling through Friday or Saturday.
