  1. Now a true wintery mix. Fzra, sleet, and even a few snowflakes. That mix line on CC radar is the sleet/icy snow/fzra line for sure. It's redeveloped over me the last 20 mins or so.
  2. Maybe. Figured it would be sleet longer. Surface temp is colder than expected though so things will probably get icy, particularly trees and elevated surfaces. That's pretty pathetic.
  3. Fellow spotters, remind me of the rules... I've measured each hour and won't wipe the board until 6pm. But can I report these intermediate values? I think yes, right?
  4. Hoping to avoid rain, but not sure. 3" is definitely solid compared to what I feared at times the last day or two.
  5. 3" on the button, so 1.8" in the last hour! Sleet now. Grass is nearly all covered, so it's better than most of our storms... Let's see what happens now.
  6. 1.2". 0.9" in the last hour. Biggest December snowfall since 2017! Coming down well right now. Feeling good about 2" and 3" seems quite possible?
  7. Embiggening snow flakes under those oranges now
  8. Taking a @Jebman Jebwalk as soon as this stupid virtual meeting ends
  9. Some snow on Rt 108 behind me, which is a snow emergency route and was brined yesterday.
  10. Those bright radar returns about to reach us...interested to see what that offers.
  11. Eyeball visibility near the border of -SN and SN (5/8mi).
  12. Paved surfaces starting to cave First official spotter report: 0.3" On the board for winter 2020-2021!
  13. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?parms=LWX-N0C-1-24-100-usa-rad
  14. I swear it has to be under 20F for my driveway to get snow covered.
  15. CC mix line has been pretty stationary for a little while thankfully. I'd like our rates to pick up soon so we can max out the snow time.
  16. We do have some semblance of blocking. A track up the Bay would be rain to Binghamton if there wasn't that high pressure/confluence/blocking. It's not 100% perfect, but the best we've had in ~22 months.
  17. -SN enough now in Columbia that normal people would notice
  18. I haven't been this anxious for snow to starting accumulating since the last time snow accumulated.
