    That BWI repaving a few years ago definitely adds 1-3F on days like this. But it was hot regardless.

    97F at BWI and 95F on DCA as highs based on the hourly obs. Have to see the interhours to see if they got higher.

    Today might be the last best chance for DCA and BWI to make a run at 100F. Looks seasonable to slightly below normal (gasp) for the next 7+ days after today. That sort of extreme heat is not impossible after August 10 certainly, but becomes increasingly anomalous.
