  1. Herd immunity is the way out of this. And the end is in sight. People need to get vaccinated.
  2. Yeah, 65 was the number in my mind. They're probably going to be pretty bad, but hopefully there are some good signs from young players.
  3. Shortages are coming to an end very quickly. National supply has been outrunning distributions by a decent amount for 2+ weeks and that supply is only going to keep growing. ~3M/day vaccine supply vs. 2.1-2.2M/day administered. I understand your feeling if you personally feel at low risk for COVID complications, but I hope you do get vaccinated when it's open to the general population at latest!
  4. I’ll take the over. Hard to be that bad, even for the O’s.
  5. Record high at IAD and BWI so far
  6. My daughters birthday is May 11, so I think she’s ok. My wife’s 40th is June 8...not looking good. I told her I’ll sauté some cicadas for an appetizer.
  7. Yup. It loves edge habitats as it needs some sunlight, so it thrives in suburban environments where there’s not a lot of deep woods. It’s basically wiped out (and hybridized with) native bittersweet as well.
  8. I’ll also say this. If you’re opening up retail and restaurants 100%, then those employees need to be vaccine eligible NOW.
  9. Ivy is terrible. Honeysuckle and oriental bittersweet too. Those three just obliterate native trees.
  10. I’ve heard some thoughts about that. It will work well if you’re already in one of the big systems (university of Maryland medical system for example) that are distributing vaccines. If you’re not...probably harder.
  11. WV has been doing very well. Good plan and well executed.
  12. It’s a terrible invasive. I wish garden shops stopped selling all these nasty invasives.
  13. MD has been 1c for awhile now. I’m hoping Phase 2 starts soon. Nationally the gap between vaccine supply and administration rate is growing with about 3M vaccines supplies per day and ~2.1-2.2/day administered. Need to close that gap.
  14. Yeah but I don’t want to catch shrapnel.
  15. It feels like soldiers in late April invading Germany...no one wants to be the last casualty before the war is over and people are saying to go walk across the minefield.
  16. Bamboo is the worst. You probably need a landscaper. You could try a very thorough mechanical removal with some targeted roundup application yourself and see how things go? But you’ll eventually probably lose the battle.
  17. I get the “go out of you feel safe, stay home if not” but it’s very obviously not that straightforward. More community transmission increases the risk for everyone, not just people eating in restaurants or going to Os games. Again, we’re literally only another 6-10 weeks away from pretty high population immunity levels.
  18. I’d be in favor of all domestic restrictions being lifted. I think international still makes some sense.
  19. Yes. All this full lifting of restrictions now feels like spiking the ball on the 10 yard line. June 1 or July 1 and let rip I think.
  20. It’s also up to the Orioles. Gov. Hogan said social distancing has to be maintained with all these restriction relaxations which is pretty much impossible with even 50% capacity at OPACY (let alone restaurants).
  21. I've seen reports of them around already, so probably soon in your location if not already! Tree swallows also among some of the first migrants back into the area.
  22. We have a few on the south side of our house that are close. But around the area, most daffodils aren’t particularly close to blooming.
  23. Chickweed never stopped growing I think. Need colder temps to nuke it. Not as bad as last year though when I had mounds of it in all my mulch beds.
