  1. Thankfully didn’t throw my neck and back out. But right lower back muscle area is pretty damn sore.
  2. I just busted my ass on our front steps. And was trying to be careful. Ow.
  3. This looks pretty accurate for our area by my eye
  4. Snuck down to 24 before sunrise I’m very curious about tonight. If we can’t get in the teens tonight? Jeez...
  5. Snow cover, cold advection, and mostly clear skies results in an incredibly pedestrian low of 25.
  6. Some impressively massive snow piles in nearby shopping plazas.
  7. If there's one thing we excel at, it's getting cold air in place just hours before a late-winter storm when the previous days have highs near 60F. #LockItIn
  8. 2/18-19 1.1" of sleet and a little snow Total: 15.9" The asymptotic journey towards climo continues
  9. Tried shoveling. It was completely ineffective. Can't break through the glacier.
  10. I think MD eastern shore and areas south of Rt 50 are culturally Southern. Other areas are Northeast. NoVA is also probably Northeast now.
  11. Some big flakes falling in Columbia
  12. In this case, both situations are possible. Shallow stratus and deeper clouds with a warm layer.
  13. Of course the sounding @MN Transplant posted says I may be full of crap
  14. At this point is probably not a warm layer, it’s just shallow stratus. Clouds aren’t deep enough to have ice nuclei available for snow crystals. So you get weak precipitation as fzdz.
  15. Freezing drizzle is icing everything up. Untouched sleet covered driveways and sidewalks are just a solid glacier, can walk across without leaving a trail. Plowed surfaces are now skating rinks. Kids are missing out on a bunch of snow days.
  16. You hear my footsteps yet @NorthArlington101 @H2O?? Omar common’ ya’ll.
  17. Wow, yeah that’s nuts. Just under 16” as of today IMBY.
  18. You beat me by 0.8”! Actually, that sounding looked exactly as predicted by the models yesterday afternoon. I checked... maybe even better since IAD sounding was actually drier in the warm layer. Figured that would easily wet bulb below freezing for our snow thump. Obviously that didn’t work out.
