  1. Thursday-Saturday this week looks pretty nice. It was looking like maybe we’d get another cold front early next week to keep that going. Now, not so much.
  2. Models switched to hot and dry for next week with a quickness. Ops look a bit more aggressive than ensembles, but still.
  3. Wow, can smell the smoke outside
  4. Smoke layer is surprisingly low
  5. Some cool roost rings on LWX radar this morning. Time sensitive, obviously.
  6. It was pretty evident driving home that the smoke is reducing visibility at ground level as well.
  7. Some is absolutely smoke
  8. Great breeze this morning. Knock the dews down another 5-10F and it would feel like September.
  9. Because there’s been a shooting in the stadium apparently
  10. Not even going to get scraps. Brutal day.
  11. Crazy. Just misses in every direction. Probably a couple inches of rain west of 29.
  12. Looks like another very near miss coming from a big storm and then scraps after that.
  13. 0.11”. It’s something I guess.
  14. Total screw job for line 1. Hopefully it doesn’t matter by tonight.
  15. Jealous. Nothing yet here except thunder. Reminds me of the other day when the line can’t seem to quite make it to me.
  16. If this line doesn’t totally fall apart, it looks like it could train over me…
  17. We’re in Oella right now and same. This first round passing northwest though.
  18. Sorry to hear that @mappy. Best wishes to you and Mr. Maps family.
  19. Ridge axis remains to our west for the next 10-14 days it looks like. That should prevent any major heat during that period, although I doubt we avoid a few days in the low-mid 90s in late July. Still, probably some nice “cold” fronts. Late next week should have some nice days.
  20. Flash flood watch and heat advisory today for the metro corridor. Hopefully we get good rains today because tomorrow looks dry. Tomorrow looks like a gorgeous day actually.
  21. 0z euro went back to the progressive solution. Hopefully I get a good soaking rain tomorrow evening and anything else is gravy.
  22. Probably storms Saturday evening at least.
  23. Big flip flop from the euro on the stalled front this weekend. 0z pushed it through quickly while now 12z stalls it and sets up a pretty rainy few days. Interestingly, that was the solution GFS has been showing for the last few days, but 12z went more progressive
  24. Sure looks like the mesos are going to nail today with a gap between DC and the Pa line.
