I was almost calling bust this morning when I woke up to 0.01”, but now up to nearly 0.9”.

Good thing football’s back Sunday, because it’s looking like a total washout with 1-2” of drought. Then a break early Monday through Monday afternoon before the front approaches with more showers and maybe some woo storms?

Yup, just checked my plastic rain gauge and only about 1.2”. iWeather overestimating here.

iWeather has me over 2” with 3”+ near Frederick and almost 5” near Mt. Airy.

Pinatubo and Hunga Tonga are very different eruptions with different mechanisms that will impact climate. But they both may produce strengthened NH winter strat PVs.

Honestly? Yeah, quite possibly… The indices were all pretty bad going into the last 2 years as well, and portions of our region had very good years each year. So, I’m hoping we can muddle through again.

I’m not sure much/enough h2o will reach the northern hemisphere this year to notably impact the northern winter strat PV. Next winter on the other hand…

NAM 3k continues to show a high N-S oriented line move through the metros between 6-8pm. How long has it been since we had one of those instead of patchy pulse crap?

Mesos seem to be in lockstep with a line moving through the metros between 6-8pm. Agree with @high risk, just hoping for some decent rain. -
I just looked at my neighbor’s PWS website and saw we had ~0.1” of rain last night. Confirmed with with my cheapie rain gauge. Was around midnight. Everything was dry when I woke up this am and I didn’t notice. @Herb@MAWS @Scraff did you get anything?
