  1. I’d wager ef3 for some of the pics I’ve seen
  2. Going to end up with a bit under 3" total rainfall, most fell overnight. Today was fairly meh IMBY, but clearly a pretty memorable tropical remnant event area-wide.
  3. Little patch of blue sky overhead with a good view of the strong storm approaching Baltimore just to my east.
  4. I'm sure someone in FredCo will say conditions were "unexpected" or some nonsense like that. Always blame the forecasters.
  5. This is from one of the Orioles announcers
  6. Cell north of Towson heading for @mappy now warned
  7. @Ian says debris signature on radar from the Annapolis twister
  8. Was just about to post some spinny velocity scans on the cell near King George VA. But I see it’s already warned.
  9. Thanks for the feedback. We didn’t even have anywhere near that much. Just a damp spot in the corner and then a small “puddle” next to that less than 0.1” deep. I always run a dehumidifier back there and I have a fan blowing on that area as well.
  10. Yeah, then my slab will flood. My inkling is that very rare water into the basement isn’t worth a major intervention.
  11. Got a little water in the basement this morning after that deluge. That’s happened a handful of times since we moved in after the most intense rain. I don’t think I need to be too concerned? Just will clean it up and dry it out as best as possible.
  12. Could be the coldest winter for the rest of our lives!
  13. 12z GFS from yesterday missed it by THAT much.
  14. Major rain shield fail. 2.32”, most of that in 30 minutes.
  15. Pretty intense storm woke us all up. 6.5”/hr rain rate on the nearby PWS!!
  16. I liked how the periodical cicadas were polite enough to be quiet by 6pm or so. The damn annual cicadas just get louder near dusk.
  17. WPC has a high risk of excessive rainfall just into south PA and includes a sliver of Garrett County.
  18. Euro broadly 1.5-2.5” of rain through the metro regions.
  19. Hug the HREF if you’re rooting for precip. 3”+ for everyone north of EZF more or less.
  20. Falling apart right on cue
  21. The series of incredibly near misses for MBY is kind of remarkable at this point. Pretty much all of August since the Columbia tornado.
