  1. ~0.6” last night. ~5.4” for July.
  2. Thankfully this brutal 48 hour long drought is about to come to an end
  3. Going to feel so amazing when the dew point drops below 70 again sometime in late September
  4. Clarksville got deluged the other day. Evens things out
  5. Yeah I was going to say about 1.6” based on nearby reports. 4.8” or so for the first 2 weeks of July.
  6. I retract my almost-meh
  7. 5.5”/hr rain rate at the PWS that has catch issues
  8. Getting my “meh” warmed up
  9. MBY ducking and weaving around all these popcorn showers.
  10. We’ve got WPC and SPC mesos out for the area
  11. I mean…that is the distinction. But I do appreciate the point that the public struggles with that difference.
  12. Hrrr has been insistent with a line of storms coming off the mountains and into the metros near and after midnight
  13. Caught the edge of a good downpour (which I was grocery shopping in). About 0.2”
  14. A few hundredths with a lot of nearby downpours
  15. We’re just missing so far
  16. Not sure why this morning over other recent days but humidity feels like the Amazon
  17. We were there a couple weeks ago. I loved it but my wife was chilly lol
  18. Going to end up around 0.9”. Solid event, mostly for the long duration. No major deluge here, missed north and south. But around 3” for July already so no complaints.
  19. Flood warning for most of HoCo. My deluge is knocking in the door. Clarksville mesonet got more than 0.5” in 5 minutes https://x.com/nimbusstorms/status/1943069828622790955?s=46&t=JYOHM881b6groqc0-RqtxA
  20. 2/3rds of HoCo getting drenched. Not my 1/3rd
  21. Someone beneath that cell in the Bowie-Crofton area has to be pushing 4”+ of rain?
  22. Getting grazed by that single cell in PG at my work ETA…total gullywasher even without a flush hit. PWATs are juicy! @MatthewCappucci on Twitter showing this cell has a downburst signature on radar just to me southeast
  23. Watch issues for everyone west of the Bay and north of RIC
  24. Mod excessive rainfall risk extended north through the 95 corridor!
  25. 11z hrrr gets my full endorsement. Mod risk of excessive rainfall between RIC and CHO today. Slight severe risk for entire area.
