    I mean, places got 12"+ four weeks ago after days with temps in the 50s and 60s. We've had arctic air over us for weeks, the ground is frozen, and we'll briefly have temps in the mid/upper 30s today. Temp will drop just fine later this afternoon as precip starts. Hell, the ground is probably colder than the air when snow starts.

    Although I'm not under this morning band that was advertised by some of the meso models, I think it's encouraging that you all are getting good dendrite formation from relatively light precip.

    New 3k is colder too although not as cold as 12k. Thinking earlier start to snow and (relatively) heavier precipitation prevents much daytime warming?

    Looks nearly identical to 12z. Kinda like the MLK storm, we've microanalyzed every wobble for a week and for all the changes, it's basically been locked in for ~5 days.

    If we’re still talking about snow here, I thought the 18z NAMs were noise level changes over 12z. 3k looked better with my Friday evening mood snow and light accumulations. That’s good enough for me.
