    BWI up to 0.7”, also adding 0.4” to the overnight total as I did IMBY. IAD up to 0.9”

    Snowing well right now with good flakes but sun angle is doing work. Really needs to dump this time of year for daytime accumulation.

    Damn. Some spots in PA pushing 8”! Meso models definitely keyed in on a fairly narrow but potent jackpot zone, but it was farther NW in reality than any of the guidance.

    I doubt we get a week+ favorable period for the rest of the snow season. I’d expect anymore snow chances will be a well-timed wave with a transient cold airmass and N/W will likely be heavily favored over the coastal plain. But it’s certainly possible we get another event or two.

    Eyeballing around 1” with tiny flakes still falling. Will go out to measure shortly. Temp is 31.6 Was fairly pessimistic when I got back from the Wizards game last night around 1030. Temp was still 44. But did get a 6F drop in about 90 minutes between 11pm and 1230am. Still, most of the snow fell with above freezing temps.

    Well, “showers” implies convective precipitation so I think Hawk is actually saying the GGEM is forecasting widespread thunder snow!!
