  1. Hope GFS isn’t totally out to lunch next week with the upper low providing rain and storm chances. Euro is bone dry and starts to bake us. Get the sprinklers started…
  2. Ooof. GFS soaks VA and leaves MD dry.
  3. Gorgeous morning. Only slight flaw is the noticeable wildfire smoke haze.
  4. An ancient 4.5 years older than me
  5. Happy birthday old man!
  6. About 0.2” with the band. Not a ton but I’ll take it.
  7. That’s a solid little bow or LEWP
  8. We had a big school event today that I helped organize. Glad the weather turned out pretty well.
  9. Some changes on all the 3 globals today towards wetter chances late next week. All show a semi-tropical (??) coastal low and an upper level low bringing unsettled weather somewhere in the east coast. Big variance in where. Gfs brings it into VA with quite a deluge for the holiday weekend.
  10. Hopefully we pay with about 4” of rain over a 2 week stretch
  11. When one of those near-coast volcanoes pops off soon…watch out!
  12. Crazy amount of underwater oceanic volcanic activity it looks like
  13. Even with temps being pretty pleasant, this sun angle will crisp things up quickly if we don’t get out of this dry pattern soon.
  14. Happy Mother’s Day to the moms of Amwx! @[email protected]
  15. 0.3-0.4” here. Slow and steady, so should soak in well. Next Saturday looks like next rain chance
  16. Parts of southern PA have to be over 1”
  17. That would be much appreciated. Models really choked with this system. Euro from a few days ago was probably best.
  18. Can’t even get the pavement wet
  19. Lol we had weather satellites. How old do you think I am?
  20. Maybe I was just oblivious growing up, but I don’t remember there being many days annually with wildfire smoke aloft. Having it in May is nuts.
  21. Interesting level of disagreement on tomorrows rain. 12z 3k NAM was a solid rain event for the entire area. 12z gfs sorta similar but lighter and more focused to our northeast. 12z GGEM is light showers mostly through VA. 6z euro more NAM-like on precip swath, but not as heavy.
  22. Nice! We have some little bluestem. Also some pink muhly grass and a random mix of a few others that i seeded in one spot and not quite sure whatever took
