    Looks like I wasn’t alone in being surprised by the storms last evening. Over 1” of rain and some serious T&L. Kept us awake for awhile.

    /stands up on soap box/ I am once again asking tv and radio meteorologists to choose their adjectives more carefully. The 1-3F below normal temps coming this Thursday-Saturday are way less an “autumn preview” than the current 5-8F above normal temps are a “summer continuation”. Stop normalizing above normal temperatures! /stands down off soap box/

    Drove through heavy rain on 95 near Catonsville. Traffic down to 5-15mph.

    Cashing in with the very last set of showers from this 4 day period. 1.75” at the neighbor’s PWS and counting.

    Stoked to see how that turns to partly cloudy between Rt50 and 95.

    Early word is torn pec for Marcus Williams. Brutal day even before hearing about Stanley and Linderbaum.

    Pretty rough day for Baltimore sports. Very sloppy and costly victory for the ravens and orioles are about to lose a game in the standings to the rays.

    Rain gods were mischievous today. Less than 0.1” with rain consistently evaporating when it hit 95. Not quite 0.5” in last 48hrs.

    Early radar trends look encouraging for MBY

    3 different rounds of storms last evening and overnight. Don’t think it amounted to a ton…nearby PWS says 0.36” although I expect CoCoRAHS will show more. Still a good drink for the plants. Let’s do it again today!

    I do approve of the storm motion of that cluster near and east of DC. Hopefully it continues to expand.
