  1. 50yr trend is slightly up for most of our area. Shorter term trend is negative for our area but still positive farther north along the 95 corridor.
  2. In between all the conspiracy theories he says frigid March inbound!
  3. Am I wrong that until at least very recently todays forecast high was in the upper 30s to near 40?
  4. Moon, Venus, and Jupiter putting on quite the show in the western sky
  5. WTOP says the SSW is going to “knock a polar vortex through DC the last two weeks of March.” So we got that going for us.
  6. We’re snow tubing at harpers ferry now. It’s 61 per car thermometer.
  7. Downys come to feeders the most of all of them generally.
  8. Wow…a red headed at a feeder is a good get. Definitely the least common in the state although they are around.
  9. Yeah I’d guess he’s been promised to be the heir apparent after Rivera?
  10. There’s good reasons to think a stout -NAO will develop at some time with SSW downwelling support. Shorter wavelengths would help mute a hostile Pac longwave configuration, but until it happens, I won’t trust it given persistence.
  11. Low of 25…normal! eta…got down to 23.5 after sunrise
  12. Apparently he’s “assistant” head coach too.
  13. I was mentally trying to do this. For BWI, the anomalies are on this order for 09-10 through 18-19 (I’m not actually confirming this, just ballpark) 09-10: +55” 10-11: -5” 11-12: -18” 12-13: -12” 13-14: +20” 14-15: +10” 15-16: +15” 16-17: -15” 17-18: -5” 18-19: -1” So over that period, almost the entirely positive anomaly is driven by 09-10. Take that year out and it’s a little below normal over 10-11 through 18-19.
  14. My wife reported “hail” to me at 315
  15. Think it was BWI’s biggest until Jan 2016
  16. Most solar production today since October 18. #sunangle
  17. Yeah, the punditocracy seems pleased with the OC hire. Still skeptical they get a Lamar deal done.
