This wind is the most interesting weather we’ve had so far this summer. High was 85, low was 75, currently right in the middle at 80. Heat wave done.

81/78 (HI 90), overcast and breezy.

Squeezed out another 90 before the sky went fully overcast. 86/78 (HI 98). The air is also moving today which is a change from yesterday’s stagnant heat.

The last time I flew between ISP - MCO (Orlando) and JFK - CLT (Charlotte) the takeoff and landing conditions were perfectly identical.

I don’t believe I’ve seen CTG lightning since the trees leafed out. 82/78. Overcast all day.

Downpour with imbedded thunder. Much needed I’ll take whatever I can get.

Cleared out and clouded back up. 79/76 now, down from 86.

82/78 but cloudy. Enhanced risk is usually a kiss of death (for LI especially), but I’ll hold off on watering things just in case. Cicadas buzzing, not sure if I’ve ever heard that in June.

Getting windy here over the past hour or so, and I’m on the north shore. Avoided the beach today because of this. 85/77 (HI 94), so the wind feels hot.

87/78 (HI 100), high so far is 89 but it’s cloudy now, don’t know if we’ll get to day 4.

Outflow boundary was clearly visible when it passed through, even though the sky’s fully cloudy. 80/74 now. Had a few raindrops. Feels tropical.

94 here, already above yesterday’s high of 92.

I remember my first time experiencing these in the Rockaways. One of the more extreme events had the temperature go from the low 90’s to the low/mid 70’s almost instantly, trees blowing around and people running away with their beach stuff in tow, one of the few times I actually felt cold in the summer months.

Topped out at 86 here, low was 69. Currently 81 (HI 85).

Very mid for a severe warned storm (first of the year for central/eastern LI?). I’ll probably finish with a quarter of an inch.

In Stony Brook and I see convection underway to south towards the Atlantic. Was 87 but now 82 with the increased cloud cover.
