It’s too bad today won’t reach 90, I could’ve had my second heat wave. Hit 91 yesterday. Low of 62 this morning. Too cool for me.

ISP’s 13” in 3 hours in 2014 really continues to stand out for me with all of these extreme rainfall events. 3 hours. More than 1 month’s worth of rain per hour.

I’m on the south shore near ISP watching the storm roll on by, only some loud thunder. Traveled on NY135 earlier and you can see the transition from green in the north to browning in the south.

Lol were we removed from the watch? Watch boxes to the north and the south with a severe warmed storm plowing through the middle.

I tend to temper my expectations when we’re under a Slight Risk. 82/77 here. Another 90+ would be nice.

My first time at a GSB beach the water felt as hot as the air temp (upper 80’s). I was shocked and confused.

They’d never do it, but I’d love to see NYS plop a Mesonet in Central Park, in full view of the sun.

0.18” at my PWS. Meanwhile my job came very close to (minor) flooding. The water made it under the doors, very nearly spilling inside. The rainfall total wasn’t anything spectacular but the rate was extreme, the water had nowhere else to go. 80/77 now with sun. Steam bath.
