  1. This is my place on the Elk River where it goes out to the Bay. Getting pretty close to the cottages, however it should go under if it gets that far. Nice neighbor down there today sent these and moved a bunch of stuff for us. For reference I took the storm cloud pic last Saturday
  2. Of course, my daughter picks 8.2.24 to get married and it will be hot and humid. Ceremony is outdoors, but dinner and reception will be inside. They are still cleaning up around here from the storm 2 weeks ago. I must have passed 4 of these crews on my errand journey this morning. It's 83 w/dew of 73 so feels like 90. Happy for the cloud cover.
  3. They are still cleaning up around here from last Tuesday night. Lots of orange cones everywhere along the roads. I haven't seen any reports of a tornado touching down, and the damage is so widespread that it had to be straight line winds. Still a few roads closed, and around 900 without power. Mine was restored Friday morning. Ordered a piece of glass. Hope I can repair it myself without hiring someone. Currently having a shower @ 77F
  4. I'm guessing straight line winds caused all the damage. It was brutal. Was sitting there watching it out the front door and then heard glass breaking in my bedroom. House is old so the windowpane that broke was no match for the wind. Large limb next door took out the back windshield of my neighbors' car. The entire play area of Tick Tock Day Care center is destroyed. Route 41 a nightmare with traffic, and no idea how long it will be to get power back. I slept on a towel in my bathing suit. Work is OK so I am currently in AC! More storms later? Doing my best not to stress, but it's pretty bad here.
  5. 82 F @ 10am w/a dew of 78 = disgusting!! How many days 'til fall?
  6. Had to dump some more oil in the tank. I think I could have made it, but to be safe in case this goes well into April. I hate chilly Easter's. 52F Now-at least had full sun today.
  7. Temp has held steady all morning at 33F. Still snowing but back edge is getting close. 1/2 hr. to go probably. Although my location was on the lower side of accumulation, it still did a number on the evergreens.
  8. Best guess looking out on the deck. 1.5" here. Southern Chester County. I was real close to that dry slot but the intensity has picked back up.
  9. 33F here. Change over was so rapid. Enjoy! Got a remote day.
  10. Wow! Look at me now!! Eastern Chesco going to get some sort of statement coming out by 4, I would think with these latest trends. But what about temps?
  11. I got nothing. No SWS, HWO, no WWA, not even a flood advisory. Hope the white here in Chesco changes to something later today. Congrats to our northern zones. Enjoy!
  12. I was just out and still fog. Thought I'd have a sighting this afternoon. Maybe tomorrow.
  13. Still snowing ever so lightly. Since cleaning off the car it now has more stickage. Still steady 26F Don’t expect that to last long. Son was in with the tractor plowed the driveway. I’ll try to post a pic of the blower cleaning off the New Garden runway. That’s where he’s headed next.
  14. Just received a SWS however looks to be ending here. Few more hours? It's starting to blow though.
  15. Had a time of just pixie dust and is now coming down more intense. I'm in the back and forth. But doing good. 27F
  16. Was a little nervous when I woke up at 5 and nothing. Virga. So I pulled a RedSky and went back to sleep. 7:20am steady light snow. Eyeballing it’s approaching 0.5” 26F
  17. Glorious afternoon. 24F Lots of sunshine and you can grocery shop during lunch break and only have to move those bags once since the trunk doubles as a refrigerator. More snow coming too. Will be interested to see where that Norlun stream sets up. I can't recall models getting those right.
  18. Was just going to ask this. Another work from home day. Thanks
  19. Bradberry missed so many tackles he should never play professional football again. EVER! Abysmal. Heads need to roll. Threw another jersey. Came short of lighting them on fire.
  20. 27F. Light freezing rain for the last hour or so. Decided to work from home. Now dreading cleaning off the car later.
  21. Bigger flakes but wind has calmed down. I’ll take snow globe. Nice pre football action.
  22. My power came back on around 4am. Thankful to have a normal morning with coffee and a hot shower. Wondering how the bay cottage faired down in Cecil County. Trying to get familiar with where the flood gauges and all are. Guess I can also check the MA forum. ...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Cecil County. * WHEN...Until 11 AM EST this morning, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 6.1 feet, flooding begins along Back Creek in Chesapeake City, Elk River near Courthouse Point, Hollywood Beach and Port Herman, and along Bohemia River near Town Point. 23. Being honest never heard the term rope yet there it is! Was witness to a training effect once. Not the same. Lots of rain. Either way
