  1. Dry at the moment. Gusts coming. Gotta tell ya I don’t like high winds. Hope my Eagles banner makes it. Cooking early in case lose power later. I do have propane for when temps drop. Hope I don’t need it. Weird convection set up.
  2. Gonna get some flakes on the banner. Shame it's going to rain after this. Ugh-this winter.
  3. A little snow tonight only to get washed away tomorrow night. Ugh this winter. At least it's been better than last year.
  4. I had a power outage early this morning. Restored in an hour so yeah hope no ice accretes causing any sort of power trouble for Sunday!!!
  5. I was watching some of live coverage down there. WSWs all the way up to OBX/VA line. Just think if there was some blocking out there in the ATL. A site you don't ever really see
  6. Thinking of postponing having folks over on Sunday-NFC Championship game is 1st this year so another 3pm start next Sunday!
  7. I think the media being pretty hard on Hurts. I mean he threw a good ball right out of the gate. No TOs and I'm Ok with the conservative play calling. Of course, GB has a good defense and not many WRs were open. Here's hoping we get a good game on Sunday both rushing and passing. Our D is just unbelievable this season! They win championships! Following y'all that all this cold air doesn't get wasted on a bunch of dry windy days!!! Go Birds!
  8. Random banter for the day: Amazing what you see after a storm. Impressive wind gusts out there, just saw a car dragging a gallon milk jug under it. Some people don't know how to secure their trash and it's all over the street. Driving in this morning I'm behind a car with FL tags and his roof and total back windshield still covered with snow. Octorara was closed again today as they can't keep the roads clear with this wind. I imagine it's pretty crazy out that way with blowing snow. Anyway, wishing my life away until Sunday at 4:30. Ready to roll and I'll gladly take another couple of inches of snow on Sat! Have tix to Longwood Gardens on Thursday.
  9. Saying this nicely, but we weren't even close to warning criteria despite being issued one.
  10. Teeney Tiny flakes taking forever to accumulate! Did have some heavier SN fall about an hour ago for about 10-15 mins. Eyeballing an inch so far. I live on a main road and there's not much traffic right now and it looks to be slushy, cars and trucks are moving slower than usual. Furnace is getting a workout, and I don't want to look at that fuel gauge! Also, grateful I can work from home on days like this. 24F
  11. Sorta liking my spot never thought I’d say that. Hoping for the 4-6 range. But if it ends up 2-3 and stays all week I take.
  12. 27F. Some flurries out there this morning.
  13. Lancaster county though I'm not sure of exact location. EDITED: Top of water tower at Millersville U I left the office to finish my workday at home and the sun was still peeking through the clouds. While driving a whooping 7 miles you could see the clouds closing up and currently have light flurries.
  14. Had lightning at 52 degrees like it was summer on New Years Eve. Couple of down pours but calm now. Hopefully Wiggum rule going into full effect. Wind Advisory for tomorrow. Happy New Year All!
  15. This Afternoon High: 37 °F Mostly Sunny No sun here.
  16. It looks and feels like a storm is coming. Alas, it's currently 37F with a wind advisory posted for tomorrow and maybe, just maybe I will see a flake blowing around down here in the morning. I think any squall warnings with be localized more north and west of me. So strange as I was just getting used to the warm/dry late fall. I never thought I'd say that. LOL
  17. Flakes have made it all the way down here @ 37F last hour or so.
  18. I think my windshield wipers dry rotted. 2nd worst noise than nails on a chalkboard.
  19. DP 66. Yuck. I couldn't open my front door to get outside this morning, went out the back door after I turned the AC on to run on low temp. Yuck, but glad I don't live down south right now. Those poor people.
  20. Picked up my happy pills last night. Seems I will need them being stuck in these clouds with showers for days and days. Helene looking like a very impactful storm for many. .LONG TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/... As is the case with upper level lows, the forecast for the extended is a bit tricky. The upper level low that will eventually absorb Hurricane Helene will be positioned somewhere over the Ohio River or Tennessee River Valley on Sunday with the region positioned on the northeast quadrant of the closed low. This looks to bring some unsettled weather, but no day will be a washout. We look to be in for more days of clouds with periods of on and off showers until the upper level low moves offshore or transitions to more of an open wave. This looks to occur sometime Monday or Tuesday, though we will not kick the clouds/showers until midweek, with guidance hinting at a cold front coming through and a pattern change (finally).
  21. We had a thunderstorm on Saturday night late-2:30am maybe. Nothing for you guys here?
  22. High tide is @ 2pm. Guess I'll be shoveling and sweeping up muck and sticks tomorrow.
