    No doubt. Have to fire up the SPC maps looking at the 925 level. That is the biggest pay off or loss of. Go big or go home.

    Just not sure at this point. This run of the GFS paints a sharp cut off into the foothills, which is normal. Still lots of time to go.

    18.9 for a low this morning. What ever snow came down yesterday ( not here ) should have some staying power.

    It looked like it had nothing to do with the low in the SW also. Just got pinched off. I would take this look seeing how it was all snow.

    here is a quick reference. This should give you an idea. Areas just east of the mountain in NC down into the upstate fair well in CAD .The meat spots are the lee side NC counties in the foothills. But based on the depth can extend most south and east as shown in this post. e

    Next week looks to be a little below average for area. Highs in the lower 40’s and lows in the lower 20’s. .

    Wow. Thats a steep wedge . Low was 39 here.

    Rule of thumb, excitement should be limited to 24 hours out of any non liquid falling from the sky. That use to be 48 hours for me but over the years it has changed. The carpet has been pulled to many times. Let the rollercoaster continue.

    The best storms around here as a a child (80's kid here) had a top of sleet or zr. Which worked great in the neighbor I grew up in. But the best is when it remains below or close to freezing at last two days after with full sun. The melting that occurs makes the best night sledding which is the best kind IMO.
