2019 Mid-Atlantic Severe Wx - General Discussion
EastCoast NPZ replied to Kmlwx's topic in Mid Atlantic
This is the first significant rain in nearly 2 weeks ( I think). As an allergy sufferer. it doesn't take long to develop a desire for rain this time of year.- 2,802 replies

Not much here. One or 2 rumbles of thunder and a couple minutes of moderate rain. Less than .1". Really needed much more to clear the pollen that has built up the last week.- 2,802 replies

BWI: 97F DCA: 98F IAD: 96F RIC: 100F OKV: 97F My guess is that high humidity is a greater threat this year than are record temps. -

Nothing severe here, but active T &L, and pounding rain. This has to be close to 2" on the day. River running down the street gutters. Pollen taking it on the chin today. Thankfully, got the mowing done seconds before the supercell this afternoon.- 2,802 replies

Nice warned storm here. Dime size hail. First time I've seen hail at my house in a couple years, I think. Constant roll of thunder for the last half hour. Storm formed almost on top of me.- 2,802 replies

Not even a rumble of thunder today. Practically calm winds during every rounds of rain. Much appreciated too. Several rounds of good rains to clear the pollen....well over 1 inch.- 2,802 replies

Not much down here. Most everything melted last night. Only thing left frozen this am, besides a bit of crusted sleet on the ground, was the slop on my car that I had to beat through this morning. What little remains will be vaporized by the sun by noon time. Main roads were clear and dry this morning, a bit of slop in places on the side streets. Another rockin' March.
-
Another day off for FCPS!
-
Light rain for the past hour. at one point might have had 1.5, before the flip back to sleet then rain. Already significant melting taking place. In the end, I got exactly what I predicted I'd get, though I didnt think it'd turn into a rain storm. Crappy end to a crappy winter. I guess it is fitting.
-
Back to sleet for me.
-
Gotta be 1" in the grass.
-
Did not expect the flip back. Wrote this one in the book. But, now this is puking snow! Everything caved... roads included.
-
Holy!!! Pouring snow.... huge flakes!
-
Maybe not yet. Snowing here again f for the moment at least. Patio actually white.
-
I think people are upset that its turned to rain??
-
Why would there be complaining in a nursery class?
-
Lots of places have switched. If it's raining in Leesburg and Frederick, it's rain here.
-
I'm done. I can't take anymore of this. I just want dry. No more 33F rain. I pray for a 900 dm SE ridge centered over South Carolina next winter... all winter.

Be thankful for where you live. And enjoy, because my guess it's headed in your direction.
