  1. High of 29. True to forecast. Legit cold today.
  2. Years ago this would be considered very average winter weather. I'm curious how the models are consistently busting on the cold.
  3. Forecast low of 12F. Low of 17F. Betting today's forecast high of 28F far exceeds that.
  4. Yep, another day soaring well above forecast. It was supposed to remain below freezing today ..... high of 36F. More significant melting. Ground here is 50% bare. Only the protected areas, and piles, remain. This cold pattern is a joke.
  5. Yep, every single day here has been higher than forecast. The cold week didn't turn out very cold. Had all of 2 days below freezing.
  6. 46F. Torched. Lots of bareground.
  7. Thank you. I was going to ask if you've been to Wisp and how this crowd compares. It sounds much less crowded. I will keep this in mind the next time I go tubing.
  8. Our climate is such trash. The Allegheny plateau is heaven.
  9. Is that at the Resort? I've never been to that tubing park.
  10. Inclined, exposed south-facing areas are bare-ground here.
  11. Major meltage going on today.
  12. Im pretty sure an engineer knows how to operate a scale.
  13. Rooting for the Ravens tonight. I hate the fucking steelers.
  14. I know. Just stating that this has not been a particularly good start to winter for a good chunk of the sub as a reason for the pessimism that PSU noted.
  15. Well, the legit good pattern has led me to 6" of snow halfway through MET winter, so....
  16. 12/15 - 0.7” 1/3 - 0.3” 1/6 - 4.8” 1/11 - 0.5” 1/19 - 3.4" 2/11 - 3.0" total - 12.7”
  17. Another dud here. .5" and that's being generous.
  18. Yeah, I didn't understand all the optimism leading in. The radar showed an enormous dry slot and the firehouse out of the SW looked like a frontal passage. When I saw areas to our SE snowing hours before us with a west-to-east precip flow, the writing seemed to be on the wall. The usual backlash came when I mentioned that OBS that night. I think someone asked me if "I've watched a radar before", which of course, is what I was doing.
  19. I absolutely love it. I'd love it year-round.
  20. The actual forecast out here was 8 - 12, and they added the caveat about banding to localized 18". I have 4" with this latest light band. So this was not the NWS's finest hour.
  21. 3.6" light snizzle continues to fall. A rather large bust out here.
  22. This won't go down as one of my favorite events. Good luck to those of you to the east.
