  1. Let's see if storms from the east can hit here without dying or splitting.
  2. That would still be the biggest total here since May. And when it's all said and done, I bet I'm closer to that than 4".
  3. Wow, so now west of the BR is dry until tomorrow night. It's 12 hours of main core rain for us or bust it sounds like.
  4. I love how the skies cleared enough to pull off another 90F day here.
  5. Over 1" 5 miles south of me and still going. .6" 2 miles south of me. .02" on top of me.
  6. I'll beleive it rains here when it actually happens. Tonight is yet another example of how rain manages to steer away from this place.
  7. South. Strasburg gets hit again. It's sprinkling here. As usual.
  8. I wish I lived in PA. I swear, there's not a day goes by without a line of storms stretching across the state.
  9. This is what the Shenandoah basin desperately needs. I pray it comes to pass.
  10. Bring it. I will wave to you as my house floats by down the Potomac.
  11. Up to 2.83" since Memorial Day. 1.49" below last summer's record.
  12. Max in Stephens City. I think it's safe to say toss the Euro.
  13. Rained 5 times today. First 4 were scrapes, last was flush, but the intensity wasn't great by then, it looked better on radar. The last was the most since July 4 and the daily .58" was the most since late May. .81" since Thursday, but it's taken 9 rounds to get there. Today: .10" .13" .02" .03" .30"
  14. This one actually hit me flush. The rain intensity was not like it was earlier, but this has been better than anything since at least July 4. I'm waiting for it to stop before I go check the gage. Certainly the daily has topped anything since May.
  15. Brushed again by a cell to the north. 3 minutes of rain. These cells are small and moving fast today. Hard rain, but no duration. Strange. It feels like a spring pattern where the small cells pop up and move quickly. Nickel and diming. But, it is refreshing to at least see big drops and hard rain. Picked up another .13". .23" on the day.
  16. Just brushed again. Literally, two minutes of rain. Rained hard for two minutes and turned off like a light switch. .10".
  17. Got sprinkled on twice yesterday, the first as a cell again moved along east of 81 and later from cells just west. Both times, 1/2 mile from beneficial rains. I don't know when my time is ever going to come. We've been painfully close several times this past week. .03" total. 2.25" since Memorial Day.
  18. I was curious about that report because 1: no one lives in that area of the subdivision yet and 2: we have no trees except young plantings. So, I went walking to that area. There is nothing damaged, not even the young trees. This report was from a trained spotter? Really weird. Maybe someone entered wrong coordinates?
  19. It's literally 200 yards NW in my neighborhood. But I didn't get anything like that at my house. Literally a few gusts and 1 minute of rain. That cell moved just to my north.
  20. I got .20 from those. The second cell died on my doorstep and moved north. My office got a good rain out of it. I watched live on my ring cam from work. Most of the .20 came in the first cell. It was something at least. That's the most rain I've received since July 4th.
  21. Got split by the first line, and the second line is riding up 81. Pouring just to my east, while I've gotten nothing but drizzle.
  22. Once again, all the storm coverage is south of 64. Anemic coverage north of that. 93F in stephens city, 5F above forecast.
