    Outstanding day at Plattekill yesterday. Perfect conditions. As crowded as I have ever seen it, which meant waiting up to 5 minutes for the lift. Truly an under appreciated gem.

    When there is good natural snow Plattekill rules. Absolutely our favorite local mountain but only if it has been snowing.

    Great info. Never been there but sounds like we should give it a try.

    Stowe seems crazy expensive for that kind of experience. I don't know the areas out toward Boston. In upstate NY we have Royal Mountain and other local places that offer great beginner lessons and packages at very reasonable prices.
