    Even now? We popped up above freezing around 0600, and it was 37F last I looked. About 2 inches of frozen concrete overnight. I think most of it will remain because we get back below freezing this afternoon.

    Milano is absolutely key to stopping a runner like Henry (and we need Edmonds on top of his game too which has been hit and miss this year). Given his tendency to get injured, I would not have him play a single down against Miami. We really need him next week no matter who we end up playing.

    Seeing a low in that position in January and having to worry if it would be snowing or raining at my place......Appalling!

    I agree with you in that order, but there's a big drop off in my confidence after the first three. I think to make the Super Bowl from the AFC, you are going to have to beat the Chiefs. But getting there via the Titans or especially the Ravens is going to be very tough.

    I'd like to see it keep going so far west that we just get a nasty frontal passage here.

    I'm looking for the old "dust on crust" here in central NY. The residual glacier freezes to a brick and you get about an inch of fluff on top of it. Nice to look at but not much fun you can have with it.

    OK so the NWS radar is really awful now. I'm thinking of subscribing to RadarScope. I know it will work on my iPad......but can I use to on my Mac desktop too? Sorry for the stupid question.

    We are Nordic skiers so for me it’s all about the pack. I want that front to whip through. If we can do 12 hours in the 40s with a little snow after the skiing will still be great. It won’t touch this deep pack. A full 24 hours of 50s with high dews, rain and wind would be a pack melting disaster though.

    The Ukie deserves more respect than it gets. it often has better verification scores than the GFS. which admittedly is a low bar but still.

    Based on recent history 50F and raining on Christmas doesn't seem anomalous at all. In fact the most likely forecast for Christmas 2021 is currently to be 50F and raining..........

    I agree with the posts above. I think I’m right on the edge in central Otsego county. I could see 6-8 inches at my place, then if you drive 30 minutes southeast there’s over a foot and if you drive 30 minutes northwest there’s an inch.

    I'm in Otsego County, almost dead center of NY state. We want to see a low right off the New Jersey coast and passing over the center of Long Island for maximum snowfall here.

    I could definitely see that for you guys in the lake effect areas. Here in the center of the state I will take a +PNA over anything else.

    Same here and it's ridiculously stupid. I can see someone thinking of that idea last March, and it being reasonable. We know much more now. You aren't getting Covid from the grocery conveyer belt. What we need is for people to wear masks. It makes a big difference. And every time you hit people with stupid mindless rules like cleansing the grocery conveyer, they get more fed up and feel more harassed and get less likely to do the things that actually matter.
