    I have to admit, the members that keep most of the precip south of the PA border continue to be a red flag for me. At least there are fewer now than a day ago.

    Totals seem kind of low though.....barely a measly 50 inches here. We should bump those up.

    About 3 inches. here. 31F/30 dew. Snow is the consistency of 4 hour old oatmeal.

    We were supposed to be back country skiing at Yellowstone next month. Had COVID not killed the trip the lack of snow might have!

    Skied with the doggo today. Cheer up western NYers, this is what it will look like there too soon.

    We skate and play hockey on our section of an 85 acre, fairly shallow beaver pond. Last evening I drilled holes to flood a section. We have 4 inches of ice. And then we hit 8F overnight so at least smaller ponds are in good shape now.

    That clear sky really let the temp plummet here. 8 F. Now of course it's clouded over for another day of grey!

    Granted, just for fun but a hell of a lot more fun than the 10 day maps that show an inch or less for the entire state!

    Binghamton afternoon discussion says lights out til at least early next week. At least the temps are seasonable.

    After the depressing Christmas rainstorm wiped out the snowpack we are back to some nice nordic ski conditions here, albeit with a few thin/wet spots. Happy days are here again!

    Outperforming nicely here in central Otsego County. A couple of inches already.
