  1. The EPS has been pretty consistently showing the potential on Sunday for the past week or so, at least for Boone. Also NASCAR will be in Atlanta on the 19th so you can pretty much guarantee that cold snap. They bring the best weather with them everywhere, including snow to Fontana, CA. 2. EPS has been honking this storm on and off. Definitely concerning but I'm waiting for the hi res. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk
  3. 0z EPS ticked up snow. Starting to see more members jump on Thu/Fri time frame.
  4. Weirdly calm here in Blowing Rock but it's been dumping rain for an hour.
  5. Looking a little rough with the storms and wind later today.
  6. 12z for Boone. I'm supposed to be flying out to Portland on the 13th, looks interesting to say the least lol.
  7. Air temp has gone up 9 degrees in the last couple hours as the wind has picked up. What a weird February.
  8. 0z Euro was close for the northern mountains. GFS took a step in that direction as well.
  9. Just back from Charleston. A couple days in the 70s has me ready for spring.
  10. Yep. I dont even remember what happened to cause that anymore.
  11. I'm usually there but down in Charleston for work this weekend. Currently 36/29 at the house so I assume sleet falling. Pulling for you guys, though.
  12. That's just automated when they generate the warning. The system automatically includes any cities within the warning area (in this case the county) without regard for elevation. Can't really do what they do in upstate SC and issue only half the county because the higher elevations are scattered around everywhere and not just in one section. It's a super common problem with FFC and the northern Georgia counties too.
  13. Unfortunately it's a ip/zr fest with only a bit of snow at the end.
  14. The ZR for the northern mountains showing up on the globals is concerning to me. I expect the NAM to show a lot of thst but globals on the other hand.
  15. Can't blame them. Still 72 hours out with a ULL. Still plenty of time for something crazy to happen.
  16. I'm heading to Charleston for work this weekend so I can pretty much guarantee a big mountain hit. Trying to convince them to let me come down on Monday instead lol.
  17. 18z euro was warmer aloft through 12z Sunday. Shifted everything west a little.
  18. Euro looks very elevation dependent on the higher res maps. Showing a lot of mixing on Sunday afternoon.
  19. RNK not buying it yet. Barely has any snow in my forecast so far. Guessing they'll bite if the 12z runs don't change.
  20. Sheesh. Widespread double digits. Thundersnow a good bet too this run verbatim.
  21. Temps are what scare me on this one. Look very borderline outside of 4kft+. Of course if the GFS is correct it will fall quick enough it don't matter.
