  1. Kudos to Scooter for this. Stein has come today. Just picture him banging the cowbell .. and instead of chanting time... he’s chanting Stein!
  2. It’s widespread. It could be that some places that had more recent rains like the Mass Pike region to BOS do well with colors . But anywhere south of about the MA/ CT border is going to be early change and very dull it would appear.
  3. Might stay on 50’s here today. Smoke so thick
  4. So much smoke in the sky. Will keep a lid on max temps today
  5. We tried to tell em’ . They thought it was over
  6. Gonna be a hideous fall color season in SNE with the drought. The swampy areas which usually are vibrant are mainly brown and ma y other trees dropping yellow and curled up brittle browns now
  7. Yeah we’d all take a strong cane hit or Tor in our yards, but don’t even the heartiest of us would ever want the forest fire . That’s some extra level of sicko
  8. I think that’s going to happen in N CT this month
  9. FV3 has been destroying the Euro last few months . Euro had a soaker for this week and FV3 had Stein. Each run Euro trended towards Stein and now Stein fully sucked it in
  10. I mowed every week. Including today just to pick up leaves that have prematurely fallen. I took that picture after I had mowed today
  11. I meant a red flag warning/ fire danger like they issued. Seems almost impossible except this year with the severity of the drought
  12. Can you remember that in mid September ever? With full foliage right out of summer? Crazy
  13. Next up .. Forest Fires ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER POTENTIAL FOR MONDAY... The combination of gusty northwest winds, full sunshine and drying conditions on Monday will lead to elevated fire weather potential across Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Northwest winds will gust between 25 and 35 mph on Monday, with lowest relative humidities around 35 percent. Open burning is strongly discouraged on Monday. This statement is issued in collaboration with Massachusetts DCR, Connecticut DEEP Division of Forestry, and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.
  14. Not looking forward to this winter . I fear Dec might be ok and then just mild Nd dry like last Feb
  15. I just don’t need someone telling me what happened to my lawn who doesn’t do anything to take care of his other than mow occasionally .
  16. I burned nothing. This is the first time in 30 plus years of lawn care this has happened to any of my lawns. It’s called a severe drought . It’s what happens to well maintained lawns while yards where folks do nothing are infested with crab grass , clover, chickweed , dog doo etc
  17. As bad as this looks.. I’d prefer this over a yard full of weeds
  18. Ain’t no dissecting Stein. He means Bidness this time. Fear the Stein . leaves just withering and dying
