  1. It’s really not even a cold pattern . Just normal cold
  2. Your area never looked as windy. Obviously haven’t looked at much if a few gusts to 40 is the call . As we begin to tap into the stronger winds aloft, we may see wind gusts as strong as 45 mph in the high terrain and over the islands overnight. The peak of the winds for all of SNE, however, comes Thursday, as a warming surface promotes better mixing down from the top of the mixed layer. A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of southern New England where gusts are generally expected to be 45-55 mph. However, isolated stronger gusts are possible, up to 60 mph in spots, especially in the highest elevations.
  3. So just toss all guidance ? No gusts over 50? Good luck bro . That’s bad
  4. Still pretty warm at 34.9.. I saw the hi res printing out 1-2” but I knew most of that was above freezing . Probably not much
  5. In that era I mentioned . The north trend was born. Friends became separated and enemies were made
  6. No spiking anything until we see if this trend is real. But this is so typical of models overdoing TPV confluence past 5 days and weakening closer in . It happened so often in the early and mid 2000’s. Hopefully the trend is real and continues
  7. I had .30 this evening Did not see anything showing that much. Wet flakes and 35 now
  8. This is classic N trends from the early 2000’s. I remember those days vividly . That’s why they hated us and forced us to separate the forum into regions
  9. We’ll see. 18z will tell the tale if real or fake boobs
  10. Yeah just saw 18z Euro. He’s right . Has 1-3” most of CT with measurable north of pike
  11. Have some wet flakes mixing in with the un forecast moderate rain. Down to 36
  12. You’ve got 45-55 at top of mixed layer with steepening lapse rates and strong CAA. It’s going to rip , especially with extra help from daytime heating tomorrow . Elevations favored as usual in any wind event for biggest gusts.. but sometimes these channel into your area of the valley there . https://x.com/nwsboston/status/1874536470561816785?s=46&t=dhcbvkjmRcyBVQtDxJ3lRg
  13. That’s actually kind of what I envisioned this winter. December was wet but I’m not shocked . Though I don’t think that will end up verifying like that
  14. Everything still on tack for rips 50-60 mph tomorrow. Should be fun especially late morning thru late afternoon
  15. The ones that happened overnight . Read Walt’s posts
  16. The chance seems great enough to mention . If you issue a partly cloudy forecast and the north trends continue , it’s not a good look to the public. So you’ve got to acknowledge in a forecast this may happen , but will need to monitor birth trends
  17. Walt noted the GEFS also lessened the confluence to the north allowing a north bump potentially. I don’t see why 1-3” or something isn’t possible
  18. Even up to your area it’s a legit possibility
  19. Still wouldn’t give up on light event on Monday . At least south of the pike
  20. Ray watches Twilight Zone reruns every NYD. He’s done it for years.
