  1. That will never ever happen in CT. Sand is so 80’s. It does nothing
  2. I honestly thought sand was done . I know some boondocks in Maine use it from traveling in sales up there, but it’s very rare, terrible for the environment and does nothing for roads as the plows just plowed it off as soon as it’s dropped . It’s simply a cost measure so they save money on salt consumption
  3. If all the hi res is correct with 55-70mph you’d expect a couple hundred thousand outages . SW winds tonight vs straight south makes a huge difference. Almost no inversion since it’s mainly land based
  4. Starting to roar out there as LLJ starts its approach. Absolutely insane night ahead 12-6:00 AM
  5. The early week torch storm is trending cold
  6. Will might be right about early week turning wintry in SNE
  7. Sand? No one uses sand anymore. It’s all salt
  8. With rain coming to get them dirty ? Nah
  9. Ok.. and heed your good friends advice here!
  10. Treehouse or a local brewery up near you . Bet is you lose power right?
  11. And lose half the time. Fair proposition
  12. You’ll likely lose power for a day or two there in Metheun
  13. HRRR models winds well. It’s been consistent with those gusts the last 6 runs
  14. I’d prefer snow but it looks icier to me in SNE
  15. Looks to me like more zr/ sleet with snow NNE
  16. There is an ice signal in SNE end of next week
  17. Already ripping out there . As sun gets higher expect more rips
  18. We grass. First grass here since Jan 5th
  19. He’s definitely changed since the blizzard. He promised he’d change his posting style and to his credit he has( for the most part)
  20. It’s always hard when these happen and just erase entire snowpacks well north. I took one last look outside as it got dark .. and thought about complete snow pack since Jan 6. And hopefully it comes back by next Thursday . The early week system is a furnace in SNE
  21. 93 would take Wolfman Jack and High Runaway Iceberg on plunges into the CT River other than superstorm
