  1. If the climate is changing. How can you prove that ? How do you know?
  2. Well that was always silly. We don’t DS here. Dec 92 and Morch 14 showed that . An 1,000 foot hilltop doesn’t downslope . DS is the CT and Pioneer Valley . How’d they do in those particular 2 events ?
  3. Yes. I did not think was possible . Every storm jacked NW CT and then they started jacking around here. And now it’s SE areas
  4. You used regression the last 3 winters for your home there in S Wey. How’s that regression working this winter?
  5. It could just be cyclical or Scooters “regression” which I have never bought one bit. That’s the same as luck. Weather happens for scientific reasons.. reasons we will all never fully understand or grasp .. But it’s been an undeniable trend since the 80’s. Maybe it continues east out into ocean the next 25?
  6. The old days of the 80’s growing up . NW CT always jacked . There were never the E Mass jacks other than the rare blizzard of 78 type storm . It was always the deep interior. So something has definitely shifted over these past 25 years. Even my area now.. I have done better than I ever used to do . I’d always get like 14-16 in the biggies . Over the last decade I have jacked or come close more than ever . The pattern has definitely shifted east
  7. I average 60” per winter . Over the 25 year averages
  8. These snow showers pack quite a punch as they roll thru . Good snow growth
  9. At 43.6 “ YTD Hard to believe need 17” more just to hit normal . Not likely
  10. Euro and HRRR and GFS.. we wipe with those 3 this storm Ukie too
  11. HRRR was abysmal with this one. From start to finish . It literally got everything wrong
  12. Weha got over 3” . Ryan measured it. Did your dad open the blinds?
  13. Steady snow has redeveloped . Driveway turned white again
  14. All of the region was supppsed to get round two. Just not as much as out east
  15. We had two inches snow under the sleet so it wasn’t totally ice
  16. 4.5” Pretty easy to snowblow actually We’ll see what we get this evening here
  17. Hey .. the sleet capital of SNE has reclaimed its title. Swfe always deliver. With 4-5” OTG now , much of it sleet.. it will take a long time to melt next week . So I’ll take solace in that .
  18. I’ve noticed in these heavier bands much more snow mixes in .. trying to wash out that thin warm layer . Will end up with 2-4” of sleet in addition to the 2” of snow from the beginning . And then whatever we get tinight . This will be tough to move
