  1. I haven’t invested anything this year with Stein. I’m not cheering on drought . I want rain . But why would anyone be calling for heavy rains next week based on the pattern, persistence and how you typically don’t get flooding norEaster’s in August ? Why would someone think anything other than showers or a period of lighter type rains based on the look? Took a walk thru hood this eve.. there is something soothing about a drought.. maybe it’s the quiet , slow but steady early death of many things in early August .
  2. You also had 2 inches of rain and multiple storms this week . If you weren’t mowing something would be wrong
  3. Based on what I see now.. Under 1”. Possibly by quite a bit. Everything went way east today . Maybe it shifts back west. Maybe it doesn’t. We won’t have a good idea either way until Sunday night. As of now.. I’d go scattered showers Tuesday
  4. Right for the wrong reason. The mother f gets us either way
  5. Just another run. Probably closer to reality than the 3-6” amounts forecast yesterday. Congrats on the wet week this week there !
  6. It’s Stein except for NJ south and Maine
  7. Lots of early fall yellow and browns all around the yard .. these right in backyard edge of woods . Leaf drop evident on those species and there’s even some dried Oak leaves coming down when it’s windy . Will probably lose all the hydrangeas and maybe some others
  8. Hmmmm.. Looks like this? I’d kill for green
  9. Until it ends .. if and when … we are still in it . We’ll see how next week trends next few days . I def have my doubts… hoping for floods .. planning for Steins
  10. They all wore cleats . We told them to expect big bounces on balls in air . It literally would hit and bound 10 yds over their heads . You could get an extra 100 yds roll on your drives on this stuff
  11. Last summer the field on the entire right hand side was standing water. They’d play and the ball would get stuck in certain places. Tonight it played like I-84. Just amazing differences one summer to the next
  12. Coaching my younger daughters High school summer league . This is our HS grass field. Also have a turf field last year this was under water. Tonight it’s asphalt. I have never in my 22 years in town seen anything close to this drought . No rain since Aug 1
  13. Winter Ryan “ What can and will go wrong”? Summer Ryan “ What can possibly not go right”?
  14. In summer you guys lock them at 6 days. In winter it’s “ just another run”
  15. Oh you should see Ryans texts lol. He sure is . I asked him to bump them Sunday when Cooperstown is getting ready for Kentucky type flooding while we get fevered .50-1.0 spread over 4 days
  16. Ahh yes the bullseye at day 6. What could possibly go wrong? Wagons west
  17. Kind of like the summer version of a Ray we at EMasswx arrows map. His first call gives him 1-2” feet and final call ends up 1-3” to wintry mix to rain to Dryslot and dim sun with big amounts WNW
  18. Maybe more SC VT . You can totally envision the initial warm frontal push from the ESE drops some lighter rains/ showers over SNE and the boundary gets hung up right along the Apps with training., flooding downpours while we in SNE are left with Bermuda Blues and spot quick hitting showers. That’s how I envision it ending up
  19. That whole thing is going to end up soaking NW Jersey to PA and NY up to Freak. Models always underestimate strength of WAR. Just like in winter when it looks great for us 6 days out and ends up congrats Freak It just happened the last 3 weeks with the heat and dews. Models never had the WAR as strong as it ended up . This will get bumped and pushed west
  20. You are up on Brokeback mountain or coming home?
  21. Href gives you guys .2 to as much as .40 far South.
  22. Sun should slowly work NW to SE today. Very Humid but with mid- upper 60’s vs mid- upper 70’s. Next remote chance of rain looks like middle or end of next week as WAR begins to build west next weekend .SE Mass looks like they’ll get their own private rainstorm tomorrow morning.
