Vernon had over 2” just west of here.. Just east and SE had 1.25. Not close to what I needed , but I will take it and start fighting to get out of Steins woodshed once again tomorrow as a new dry spell begins

Yeah had a nice downpour last hour . Picked up a quick .30 in short order. It stopped and then a big shower formed on top of the mountain here . Considering this area missed every storm since mid July.. we were due for a little happy ending.

Ensembles were as good as any globals. GFS gave widespread soakings as did Euro and HREF. That HREF is no better than a roll of Charmin

.40 on the day as it ended a few minutes ago. More in all towns east and west . Enough to wet the dust down and that’s it ..seeing all those big totals in S Wey, Taunton, the Cape and even SE CT.. we sure got relatively Steined. Beggars can’t be choosers I suppose .81 MTD

It’s been mainly light with a few short bursts of moderate . It’s already over in HFD. Maybe he’s thinking it intensifies on the last gasp here in next 30 minutes?

I don’t think it does . Other than GFS everything is or has been shifting west . I fully expect to wake up to a full model suite jacking NW of CT up to SNH

Until I’m looking out the window at pouring rains.. I am not going to think it’s going to be inches of rain coming like these guys are forecasting on here . I do hope like I did last week that they are correct . Maybe this one is it. These warm frontal setups like this love to favor the orographic areas from NW NJ to WNE up into S NH. That’s just how I envision it. I could see the Cape getting next to nothing. What do you think ?

My mental picture of qpf is NW Jersey up thru E NY , NW CT up to Hunch as 1-3” as Jack . I think everyone SE of there rains , probably in the .25-.50 range including this area . Probably one narrow screwgie under .25 east of the river to Cape
